Laura is an accredited psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and works from a pluralistic stance. Her goal is to help clients reach their full potential no matter what their histories or current difficulties are. With a particular interest in human behaviour and neuroscience, she weaves the art and science of psychotherapy together in order to tailor each treatment plan to best treat each client.
Laura worked as a journalist before moving to Canada to lecture in English and Media Studies.
Upon returning to Ireland she began training in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and since graduating continues to attend professional development courses regularly. She is also a registered psychotherapist with LAYA Healthcare.
Laura welcomes anyone who feels distressed or is experiencing a block in their life, in whatever form that may be. She offers a caring and supportive environment, and her sessions are confidential and non-judgemental. She draws on her professional knowledge, personal experience, and integrative counselling theory and skills to help clients get a better understanding of their issues and how they might be resolved. She uses an integrative approach incorporating treatment modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic, person-centred, gestalt, humanistic and existential psychotherapy.
Laura is available for individual and online counselling sessions where appropriate.
