Teyhou is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and Professional Clinical Counsellor focusing on providing cognitive behavioral therapy.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Teyhou completed her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, Los Angeles and another masters in Sociology from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Teyhou has had experience working with a variety of issues including self confidence, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, eating disorders as well as specializing in LGBTQ issues. She also has had extensive experience in providing equine assisted therapy.
Teyhou’s focus is to help individuals find mental wellness through empathetic, therapeutic encounters. Her top priority is ensuring an unconditional, positive regard for the client experience while processing issues of self confidence and acceptance. Teyhou works from an emotion-focused model and provides support through challenging transitions from a relational and attachment perspective.
Teyhou’s multicultural identity and international background has given her exposure to many people from different backgrounds and cultures which helps her understand issues from a unique perspective, thus she wants to be an important catalyst towards transforming lives.
Teyhou enjoys being physically active in her spare time and her interests include horseback riding, skiing, dance and travelling to foreign places.
