Margaret Somers O’Brien

Margaret is an I.A.C.P. Accredited Counsellor, with a decade of counselling experience in various settings. She brings with her a rich personal and professional background as a Parent, Human Resources Manager, Career Guidance Support, Mental Health Support and Wellness Coach.

Margaret draws from several modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, relationship therapies and psychoanalysis. Her approach is eclectic in nature, and she tends to use elements of various approaches as befits the client and the situation. Margaret will take the time to listen and understand your needs, using her professional judgement and experience to provide the most appropriate counselling approach for you.

Margaret offers you a safe, non-judgmental space where you can work through your distress with compassion and empathy. She has a wealth of valuable experience to draw from, in counselling practice, business and life.

She is a practicing Yoga and Meditation Teacher and recognises the inter-relationship between mental and physical well-being.
