Farrah Tayob

Farrah is a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with post graduate training in child and adolescent psychotherapy. She holds a post graduate certificate in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy and is completing a Masters (Hons) Degree in Child and adolescent counselling and psychotherapy and a diploma in Psychology. She is accredited by Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Farrah incorporates art therapy, sand tray therapy, clay modelling, play therapy and bibliotherapy into her work alongside mindfulness and believes in the healing relationships that we hold with others, art, sport, animals and nature.
Farrah has worked in private practice with adults and with children and adolescents in schools and with the HSE and TUSLA. She has extensive experience working with parents, school care teams and liaising with external agencies when required. Her work with minors is in strict compliance with Children First Guidelines.
Farrah works from a humanistic and integrative perspective and believes the therapeutic relationship is central to her work with clients. She has the ability to form positive relationships and communicate effectively with adult and young clients alike. Her work includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Therapy, Reality Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Choice Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic and Client-Centered modalities. Farrah has experience and training in neurodiversity and has a special interest in chronic illness and ADHD. Farrah sees clients from all walks of life and has a wealth of experience with clients from LGBTQ+ Community. She believes that everyone has the capacity to grow, when the desire and correct conditions are present in order to flourish.
