Andrew O’Shaughnessy is a fully accredited Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and holds a BA Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
His therapeutic approach is Integrative combining Humanistic, CBT, REBT, DBT, Systemic, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and other evidence based approaches.
Andrew has many years of experience in the community addiction services where he has coordinated psycho education stabilisation programmes for people struggling with all forms of addictions, their mental health and life skills. He also coordinated the family peer support groups within those communities supporting the families of people struggling with addictions.
Andrew has also practiced in the Residential addiction treatment services where he facilitated, individual and group counselling sessions, treatment programme implementation and family consultations as well as managing and preparing treatment and care plans for clients and their families.
He has also acted on a consultative basis during the COVID pandemic in an Employee Assistance/ Wellness and policy development/ implementation capacity to the corporate sector.

Following military service, Andrew spent many years in the business sector in specialist roles and as a business owner.
