Niamh has a HDip in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is currently completing her MA in Psychotherapy at Dublin Business School. She also has a BSc in Nutritional Science, is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and a Certified Yoga Teacher.

Niamh is an empathetic trainee psychotherapist who values creating a space for her clients to feel safe and respected. She understands that seeking out therapy can be difficult for some and therefore endeavours to offer a warm, non-judgmental and compassionate stance.

Niamh’s approach is integrative and humanistic, meaning that she can draw on many different modalities to support each client on a case-by-case basis. She has a particular interest in person-centred counselling and believes that there is a coming together of two experts working in a collaborative manner in the therapy room.

Aside from psychotherapy, Niamh holds a BSc in Nutritional Science and a PgCert in Workplace Wellness. She is a Nutritionist, Intuitive Eating Counsellor and Yoga Teacher who runs a weight-inclusive, virtual nutrition practice specialising in intuitive eating, disordered eating and body image. Her work is HAES aligned, meaning that she encourages health-promoting behaviours, regardless of their outcome on weight. As a nutrition counsellor, she likes to get to the root of food issues and habits through what is best described as food and body image therapy. She believes that when we look beyond weight, we then open ourselves up to having a healthier relationship with food, movement and body image. This then allows us the space to focus on the things that truly matter and enables us to live a healthier and happier life as a result.

She is also the author of ‘No Apologies: Ditch Diet Culture and Rebuild Your Relationship with Food‘, which was published by Harper Collins in 2023.
