Laura McCaffrey
Laura McCaffrey is an IACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist who has been working with clients since 2017. She has an Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School.
Since completing her foundational training in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, Laura has continued to expand her knowledge and skill set by participating in regular training
workshops and seminars. Laura works primarily from a Humanistic / Psychodynamic approach whilst also having a keen interest in Attachment Theory. She has additional training in Body Psychotherapy and has also completed training in Infertility Counselling.
Laura’s belief is that the relationship between client and therapist is of the utmost
importance. She strives to create a safe and secure space, free from judgement in order to facilitate healing and growth.
Laura’s previous experience includes working with a student counselling provider and also as a Specialist Pregnancy Counsellor for a reproductive health organisation. Laura is also a member of the Irish Fertility Counsellor’s Association (IFCA).
Laura has worked with a variety of people of different ages and genders. She has gained experience in supporting people through a range of different issues, including but not limited to, attachment issues and disorders, anxiety, lack of self-esteem, depression, sexuality, gender, abuse, and relationship difficulties. Laura is also highly skilled in working within the area of pregnancy loss, including termination of pregnancy.
