Joanne Byrne Psychotherapist

Joanne Byrne is a fully qualified Counselling Psychotherapist. She holds a BSc Hons Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University.

Her therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative drawing on various evidence-based theories and techniques including Humanistic, Psychodynamic and (CBT) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Joanne is passionate about supporting clients to explore, understand and manage their psychological, emotional and relational well-being. She has a specialist interest in supporting those who are primary care givers with a child or family member with additional needs or disability. She is passionate about supporting parents through the complex emotions experienced by those living with Autism. Her knowledge of Autism is both personal and professional.

Joanne provides a safe and non-judgmental space where thoughts, feelings and experiences can be explored. This provides an opportunity to get to know yourself and gain the knowledge and skills for living in a more conscious and informed way. Joanne is a volunteer counsellor with Living Life Counselling Bray. She also currently facilitates support groups for adults with Dyslexia.

Joanne adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics as upheld by the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP).
