Joel is currently pursuing an MSc in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy with TPI. He’s completing his clinical placement with the Connolly Counselling Centre as part of his training to become an accredited psychotherapist. Joel holds a BA in the History of Philosophy and an MA in Contemporary Philosophy. He has a Diploma in Life Coaching with Neuroscience and a Diploma in Mindfulness and Meditation and a Certification in Emotions Education.

Joel began his career working in the arts primarily as an editor. He has since spent the past several years working in private practice as a life coach supporting individual clients and communities to meet their personal challenges, find new purpose and meaning, develop self-understanding, grow life skills, and nurture positive change and well-being.

Joel offers a person-centred, humanistic and integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from a variety of modalities such as mindfulness, body-based, and existential psychotherapies. He seeks to offer a kind, compassionate, and nonjudgemental relational space that deeply accepts and truly understands the client just as they are. Through this attuned way of being, he cultivates the trust and safety essential for clients to unfold, explore, and process the challenges affecting their quality of life.
