Helen Byrne

Helen is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist (MIACP) who specialises in
working with adolescents aged 13 to 18, as well as young adults between the ages of 18 and 35. She brings a wealth of experience from her background in secondary education, which gives her unique insight into the challenges faced by young people today.
Helen holds a B.A. in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Higher Diploma in Loss and Bereavement from the Royal College of Surgeons. She has recently completed a Higher Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling and is further supported in her practice by a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Helen works integratively, drawing from person-centred, creative, and CBT approaches, and always tailors her style to meet the individual needs of each client. She believes in building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and authenticity, allowing young people to feel truly seen and heard.
Whether using talk therapy, creative methods, or practical coping tools, Helen creates a safe and compassionate space where teenagers and young adults can explore their emotions, overcome challenges, and develop resilience.
