Carmel Grace

Carmel is a pre-accredited psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). She offers a safe, compassionate space where clients can feel heard, supported, and understood as they navigate life’s challenges.
She has over ten years’ experience as a telephone counsellor with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, supporting survivors of sexual violence, their families, and professionals through the impact of trauma. Carmel has also worked as a trauma coach on the Moving Forward Programme and with clients at Living Life Counselling in Bray.
Her approach is trauma-informed and client-centred, integrating mindfulness where it supports wellbeing. Carmel’s extensive professional development, including training in sexual violence, safeguarding, crisis support, and suicide intervention, complements her counselling and psychotherapy practice. This broad training allows her to support clients through life transitions such as parenthood, menopause, and adjusting to the empty nest (when children leave home), as well as challenges with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and self-esteem. Carmel’s style is warm and collaborative, guiding clients as they navigate change, build resilience, and move toward healing.
