Gordon O’Brien

Gordon is a qualified pre-accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with IACP, having been awarded a BSc. Honour’s Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy through IICP in 2023 and is working towards full accreditation.

An integrative therapist, he incorporates different approaches to meet each client’s needs. Gordon is empathic, compassionate and non-judgmental. With a person-centred approach, he believes the client is their own expert, seeing his role as a support and guide to the client through the therapeutic journey.

Having recently concluded a career of over 3 decades working in Financial Services in a large, busy and diverse organisation, Gordon also spent over a decade as an employee support colleague through grievance, disciplinary and other presenting challenges. With a view to his commitment to improving clients’ experience, Gordon continues to expand his therapeutic knowledge through IACP approved CPD courses and other learnings including CBT, Suicide Intervention, Mindfulness, Trauma, Addiction and Fractured families.
