Darach Maclochlainn

Darach is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). He is a registered psychotherapist with LAYA Healthcare.
Darach has a Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Since graduating in 2016, Darach has held positions in Mental Health with the HSE and Pieta House.
Darach provides a non-judgemental space for clients, so that they are free to share what is going on for them. In building a trusting relationship with clients, and working in an empathic collaborative way, Darach helps clients to become more self-aware. Making people more aware of the strengths they possess, Darach inspires people to feel more empowered to overcome whatever issues they face.
Darach’s therapeutic approach is Integrative meaning it combines a Humanistic approach with Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, and other approaches depending on what works best for the client.
Darach has completed further continued professional development training in other approaches such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, Trauma informed practice, Addiction recovery, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and relevant issues such as equality diversity and inclusion.
